my favorite place: the grounds of alexandria

I'll be the first to admit, I mention that I love a great deal of things.  I'm basically the girl who cried wolf when I say that something is "my favorite" because the list is so incredibly long. But isn't that a good problem to have?  Happy people find the beauty in everything, at least that's what I tell myself!  So without further ado, my favorite place:  The Grounds of Alexandria.

Flowers, food, modern art, gorgeous decor, a coffee roastery, an artisan market, a green house style restaurant, an outdoor garden, a Taylor Swift cocktail;  The list of my favorites comes together in one location at The Grounds of Alexandria in Sydney, NSW.  There are a few restaurants, The Garden BBQ, The Cafe, and The Potting Shed and a few places to shops, The Florist, The Grounds Market, Merry Pops , and the pantry (also shop online for coffee and pantry & lifestyle staples!)  I honestly just want to walk up and down the alleyways and take in all the stunning details.  The Grounds change their theme every season and I visited during the release of Disney's Aladdin and then again around Valentine's Day.  Each was equally beautiful, unique, and expertly crafted.

While I love everything at The Grounds, my favorite space, is The Potting Shed.  The food is divine, the atmosphere is inviting, and the cocktails have the best names. Cocktails with flowers get me every time.  The restaurant is designed to resembled the owner's Grandmother's backyard and that is exactly how if feels in the space.  There are trees and plants everywhere you turn and I had to wonder how they water all those plants :)  I could willingly spend my entire Australian vacation in this one spot.

There is also a Grounds of the City in CBD, next to the QVB.  I popped over often for takeaway coffee, but have yet to sit inside, thanks to the long lines, even at 10:30am on a weekday!

If you could only pick one destination/location/spot, what would you pick?  I am the girl that cried wolf when it comes to my favorites, but I really think this one is it :)
