a work trip to Paris

International work trips were the absolute best part of my job at both airlines that I worked over the past twenty years.  I was able to spend weeks in Australia, visit Hong Kong each year, see various countries of Latin America, AND experience my first trip to Paris, all on the company's expense.  Sure I had to first sit through numerous meetings and frequent travel agencies all over the globe, but there is always time to see something in the city that you're stationed.  With the exception of a 24 hour trip to Stockholm, Sweden, where I only had one dinner and a night out in a ice bar, I can easily turn the work-trip into a site-seeing extravaganza!  On this particular trip to Paris, Matt decided to tag along since I had a free hotel room (and since Paris is so romantic)!  Matt had been to Paris previously, so was a proper tour guide, showing me all the highlights of the city, once my meetings were done for the day.

The meetings were scheduled for early Fall, which was categorically perfect, since the weather was mild and our after office hours excursions took place while there was still daylight.  Matt and I were required in Paris for three days and saw much of the city in only a couple hours per day in that allotted time.
