A Garden of Hydrangea in Pumphouse Park

While NYC has had one of the most mild winters on record, that doesn't stop me from dreaming of summer in the middle of February.  A spectacular spot to immerse yourself in the summer season, is Pumphouse Park, in lower Manhattan.  Situated outside Brookfield Place, along the Hudson River & the Battery Park Esplanade, this small park is always a picture perfect place to enjoy a coffee, read a book, or rest your feet after a long walk along the esplanade.  But, during July, this quaint park goes from ordinary to extraordinary when hundreds of pink & purple hydrangeas are in full bloom.  It's quite a spectacular site so I'll definitely be adding this park to my yearly summer garden walks.

After moving to NJ in 2021, I've become a huge fan of lower Manhattan and all there is to see and do downtown.  Some favorites are Battery Park, The Battery Park Esplanade,  Governor's Island, FiDi, and the Southstreet Seaport!
