Signs of Spring in Oz Park
Parks in Chicago are incredible and plentiful, but the cutest Chicago park award goes to Oz Park in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of the city. Filled with Dorothy's Playlot playground, the Emerald Garden flower gardens, plus plenty of space for T-ball or Pee Wee Soccer, it's packed with all the elements of a great neighborhood park. But, the real stars of the space are the Wizard of Oz characters that flank each corner of the park. It's a treat to see the statues when you least expect them and equally fun to specifically hunt for all four. For an extra treat, visit in the Spring when the trees are covered in blossoms and the flower garden is just beginning to bloom.
