It's almost Halloween, and nowhere does it better than our Jersey City neighborhood. But...we've come across quite a few cute Halloween towns in our travels. The Finger Lakes will always be the king of Fall (sorry New England!) in my book, so it's fun to see the quaint Finger Lakes towns put on a Halloween display that is perfectly spooky but also keeps with the charming Hallmark town feel. One of the most delightful displays is Main St., Penn Yan, NY. Each business creates a scarecrow that represents their establishment and the result is truly adorable. The town hosts a variety of lovely shops and restaurants and it's a wonderful place to spend a few hours having lunch and shopping local.
After lunch, head to one of the best Keuka Lake wineries, Keuka Springs Vineyards. The views from the tasting room are incredible and this winery creates one of my favorite Upstate NY Rieslings. The space had a major facelift this summer, but here are photos from my October 2023 trip to Keuka Springs. I've already planned my Fall Fingers Lakes trip for 2024 so stay tuned for more gorgeous views and tasty wines!
