One of the elements that makes Central Park better than all other parks, is the number of absolutely perfect pockets of nature housed inside the 840+ acres. One of my all time favorite gardens is the Shakespeare Garden, and a quick walk by last weekend showed the garden was closed for construction and renovation. Of course I'm all for the restoration of the park since it has to be lovely for visitors for generations to come....but...how can they close Shakespeare Garden in the Spring? Ugh, mid summer or the fall would be a much better time since the tulips are what make the garden so special. They gotta do what they gotta do, so luckily, I have other favorite gardens and they are just as spectacular in the Spring.
