My last trip to Chicago was wonderful for a variety of reasons. We had a very productive meeting, the weather was perfect, and I ate 3 meals a day of Chicago's world class food. But the highlight of the trip was my 10 hour stay in the Royal Sonesta Chicago Downtown. I have gold status with the hotel chain, thanks to my numerous nights in Chi-town and a few trips around the US. On this particular trip, I arrived at 10pm and was scheduled to check out around 8:00 the next morning, so knew my time in the room would be short. When I checked-in, the attendant let me know I had been upgraded to a suite. I was gracious and thankful to her but had no idea what was instore for me upstairs! When I entered the room, my mind was absolutely blown. I have never stayed in a hotel room this big (way bigger than most of my city apartments!). The photos uploaded in reverse order, so rewind with me from about 8am back to 6am as I captured every detail of the suite and the glorious sunrise over the Chicago River. Thank you Royal Sonesta!
