i must have flowers, always and always. at the Bellagio

While the lobby of Vegas's Bellagio Hotel is always stunning, no matter the exhibit, the Spring of 2012 put on an exceptional display of color and whimsy.  The show stopper was a 6 foot floral recreation of Monet's painting, Fisherman's Cottage on the Cliffs at Varengeville.  The display was created in Monet's likeness to coincide with a Monet exhibit at the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art the same month. Other highlights of the lobby installation included a rotating windmill, a floral carousel, hand painted parasols, larger than life poppies, daffodils, and bumblebees, floating hot hair balloons and water elements such as sailboats and an arched pedestrian bridge.

Other favorite floral sculpture installations include Disney's EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, Fleurs De Villes at Hudson Yards, and the Macy's Flower Shows every Spring.  One of these days I will see the Rose Parade; the biggest and best floral display of them all!
