Peak Fall Foliage in Central Park

Fall is remarkably beautiful in places like Vermont and the Blue Ridge Mountains.  New England and mountain towns get most of the love this time of year (rightfully so) but NYC has it's own Autumn magic in Central Park.  Start on 159th Street at the Conservatory Gardens and enjoy the pink and purple spectacular that is the Korean Chrysanthemums, then head south through the park, stopping to examine the foliage in all the areas of Central Park.

Fall favorites in the park include The Conservatory Garden, The Ramble, Shakespeare's Garden, and especially Bow Bridge.  Less vibrant but still beautiful, don't skip The Reservoir, Belvedere Castle, The Mall, Bethesda Fountain & the Boat House, or Gapstow Bridge.  I veered off onto the sidewalk along museum row, to snap photos of the Guggenheim and The Met, which are equally gorgeous all months of the year.  Central Park is dazzling all year, but really shines in Spring and Fall.
