Cherry Blossoms, Round One:  Cherry Hill

Cherry Blossom season in NYC has two rounds and first up are the Yoshino.  These white and light pink blooms are some of the first signs of Spring in the first week of April.  While the blooms are visible all over the city (and Jersey City), one of the prettiest places to see the blooms in all their glory, is Cherry Hill in Central Park.  Walking from one side of the park to the other, you'll spot various groupings of white blooms so snap a few photos on your way to Cherry Hill.

While you are Yoshino Cherry Blossom hunting around Central Park this first week in April, you'll see other beautiful signs of the season.  In 2022 when these photos were taken, the magnolia blooms had frozen and died, leaving a huge hole in the landscape scenery.  The daffodils and hyacinth will make you smile, despite the loss of the magnolias.
