The Boathouse, A happy place on Shelly Beach
Shelly Beach in Sydney, NSW, Australia is at the end of one of my favorite beach walks from the main area of Manly, along the coast, to the Cabbage Tree Bay. While the walk itself is breathtaking, in this case, the destination itself is just as magnificent as the journey. A little piece of New England prep sits just back from the shores of Shelly Beach, The Boathouse.
With takeout windows along the perimeter, The Boathouse is a perfect place to grab a snack while spending the day lounging in the sand. But I often like to forgo the day at the beach and instead, grab a seat in one of the perfect dinning areas inside The Boathouse. The menu includes breakfast & espresso bar staples along with flat breads, a raw bar, burgers and salads. Have a glass or rose or an anchor adorned cappuccino and take in the beautiful views, both inside and out.
The Boathouse has numerous locations around the Sydney area, but the walk from Manly to Shelly is the perfect way to work up an appetite for this gem of a restaurant.
